Who this policy covers
This policy applies to hekaplexcontractors.com/careers (the "Careers Site"), operated by Hekaplex Contractors ("we," "us," "our"). It covers information we collect from job applicants, newsletter subscribers, webinar attendees, and general visitors to the Careers Site. It does not cover Hekaplex Contractors' main corporate site, which has its own practices.
Information we collect
When you apply to a role: your name, email address, resume file, and any message you choose to add. You don't need to create an account to apply — we don't collect a password or store login credentials for applicants.
When you subscribe to the weekly digest: your email address.
When you register for a paid webinar: payment is processed by our payment provider (currently Gumroad), which collects your payment details directly — we never see or store your card information. We receive your name, email, and purchase confirmation from the provider so we can send you access to the live session and recording.
When you browse the site: we do not currently use tracking cookies or analytics scripts. If that changes, we'll update this policy before we do.
How we use your information
- To review your application and consider you for the role you applied to, and to contact you about it
- To send the weekly digest, if you subscribed to it
- To deliver access to a webinar or other paid product you purchased
- To maintain basic internal records of hiring activity (for example, tracking which candidates were submitted to a client for a role)
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information to anyone, for any purpose. We share information only in these limited cases:
- Hiring partners: if you apply to a role we're recruiting for on behalf of another employer, we share your application with that employer as part of the normal hiring process.
- Service providers: we use third-party services to operate the site — for example, Gumroad to process webinar payments, and standard web hosting to run the Careers Site. These providers only receive what they need to do their job and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.
- Referral and sponsored listings: some listings on this site link out to third-party platforms. If you click through and apply on their site, that platform's own privacy policy applies to what you submit there — not this one. Referral and sponsored listings are labeled as such; see our referral disclosure for details.
- Legal requirements: if we're required to disclose information by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Hekaplex Contractors or others.
How long we keep your information
We keep application records for as long as reasonably useful for the hiring process and our internal records, and generally delete resumes and contact details once they're no longer needed for that purpose. You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time — see "Your rights" below.
How we protect your information
Resumes and application details are stored in a manner that isn't directly accessible from the public internet, and are only viewable by authorized members of our recruiting team, who access them through a password-protected admin area. No method of storing or transmitting information online is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security — but we don't treat this lightly, and we've deliberately kept the amount of personal information this site handles to a minimum (for example, by not requiring applicant accounts or passwords at all).
Your rights
Regardless of where you're located, you can ask us at any time to:
- Tell you what information we have on file for you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your information
- Stop contacting you (for example, unsubscribe from the digest — every digest email includes a one-click unsubscribe link)
To make any of these requests, use our contact form and select "Privacy or data request" as the topic. If you're located somewhere with specific legal rights around personal data (such as California or the EU), those rights apply to you in addition to what's described here, and we'll honor requests made under the applicable law.
Age requirement
This site is for use by people 18 years of age or older only. By using this site or submitting an application, you're confirming you meet that requirement. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and if we learn that we have, we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
